Kristin Kurth

Kristin has an accomplished career in marketing, brand building, communications and design. Her perspective comes from a background that spans a wide range of industries, including, consumer goods, healthcare, financial services, technology, real estate, publishing, and hospitality.

Kristin began her career in the advertising profession, as a media planner on the Procter & Gamble business. From there, she pursued client services work at BBDO, on packaged goods businesses. She spent the majority of her career at Ogilvy & Mather, where she ran the NutraSweet business, and was a Senior Partner/Worldwide Management Supervisor, in charge of the Wilson Sporting Goods business globally, with key emphasis on the U.S., Germany, Great Britain and Japan.

Kristin founded EquiBrand Consulting in 1998, helping clients from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies strategize, plan and launch integrated brand building initiatives. Initially serving as a "virtual consultant," Kristin developed a broad and extensive ecosystem of brand building partners - across website design, offline creative, public relations and advertising - that still contribute to EquiBrand engagements, as appropriate.

Kristin has a BBA from The University of Michigan and an MBA from The University of Chicago, with specialization in marketing, finance and economics. She has guest lectured at the top MBA programs, including the Haas Executive Management Program at UC Berkeley, and has been an adjunct professor of marketing at the School of Economics and Business at St. Mary's College. She has also conducted seminars on branding and strategic marketing for the AMA.
